How to Unblock Chrome on MalwareBytes

The only way to unblock Google Chrome from MalwareBytes Anti-Malware once it has been flagged is to add Chrome to the ignore list. The ignore list is a feature of MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Pro that enables you to prohibit the program from scanning, blocking or analyzing specific programs, files, folders or IP addresses. Adding Chrome to the ignore list on both the system and user level also requires administrator permissions.

Instructions
1. Open Anti-Malware Pro and click the "Ignore List" tab.

2. Click the "Add" buttons.

3. Navigate through your folders in the "Browse for Files or Folders" box, and add the "Chrome.exe" file from the following folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application

4. Click the "Exit" button when finished.

5. Reboot the computer to finalize the changes to the ignore list.

Tips & Warnings

You can also add other programs to the ignore list in order. Ideally, add other security software like your preferred anti-virus suite and firewall programs to the list to prevent conflicts with MalwareBytes.

Areas that are ignored create gaps in Malwarebytes's analysis capability, creating potential points of entry for viral software.

The ignore feature is available only in MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Pro as of publication. If you're using the free version, either use a different browser, a different anti-malware program, or uninstall and then reinstall MalwareBytes to rectify the flag issue.
